Campaign Pitch for WSU: We Are WSUV

Project Overview

I worked as the designer for a team of four to brainstorm, plan and pitch a Digital Marketing Campaign for Washington State University Vancouver aimed towards increasing enrollment. The advertising campaign was planned for using Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok as its main platforms.

Contributions

I drafted and developed two conceptual storyboards for video advertisements.

I prototyped, drafted and developed 17 concepts for photo and video content.

Drafted and developed four promotional posters. Two with vertical ratios, and two with horizontal ratios.

About the Process

Taking inspiration from a few notable prompts from the clients who came in to brief us, we embraced the slogan “Big school resources/experience, small school environment/feel” branching out from this idea, we also brainstormed a few more slogans to use in our campaign. Such as “Empowering Futures” “Your journey, our priority” and “Where knowledge meets opportunity.” After brainstorming with the team about these ideas, I developed the concepts and created visual representations of our ideas for the pitch presentation.

Takeaways

Reflecting on this project, there is so much I would change about how I approached it. I learned a lot about conceptualising ideas with designs while working on it, and I’m glad I had the experience of working on a small-scale team to accomplish a goal. I walked away with more skills and experience than I started with, in both the fields of design, and working on a team.
